Chimney Re-pointing
Chimney stack pointing before and after all old pointing ground out to 25mm deep and re pointed using mortar mix.Chimneys are some of the most prominent features of any roof and also, some of the most vulnerable to the elements. Over time, bricks and mortar can become loose. This leads to further damage and in some cases, a total collapse. This is why our team was contacted to evaluate the state of a chimney. It was found that a substantial amount of repointing was required to restore its surface and structure. After removing the existing mortar to a depth of 25 millimetres, a new mixture was added. Not only did this ensure structural stability, but it provided a relatively old chimney with a much-welcomed facelift.
